Product Description The Handspring Treo 270 combines a GSM phone, Web browser, and Palm OS organizer into one compact device. The GSM phone offers four ways to make a call: dialing from the keypad, speed dialing, using the Instant Lookup feature, or checking the call history. With the press of a button, you can switch over to the speakerphone, conference call, or mute out your caller. In addition, the Treo 270 has multiple polyphonic ring tones to choose from. Key for this device is the ability to send and receive e-mail or access the Web using Blazer, the Treo’s award-winning browser. The Palm OS organizer has 16MB of memory and a fast 33mHz microprocessor and includes the classic applications—the PhoneBook, calendar, to-do list, memos. You can also run about 13,000 other applications using the Palm OS as well as transfer or backup data onto your desktop computer from the Treo 270 using HotSync. The full 4,000-color screen makes viewing and playing games a pleasure and the backlit keyboard makes it easy to work in a dark room. The Treo 270’s Lithium-Ion battery is rated for up to 2.5 hours of talk time and up to 150 hours’ standby time. This compact phone weighs in at 5.7 ounces and measures 4.4 by 2.8 by .82 inches. The Treo 270 comes with a metal stylus, a USB HotSync cable, a charging cable, a hands-free headset, and a CD-ROM featuring desktop synchronization software and a user guide.
